Polaris is a Damen SeaXplorer 55 — an ice-classed expedition yacht built to take ten guests anywhere from Svalbard to the Antarctic Peninsula. The dark-painted steel hull and aluminium superstructure are designed for autonomy: 40 days at sea, 6,500 nautical-mile range.
