A private estate built around the horse.
Three hundred and twenty acres of parkland, a thirty-box yard, two championship arenas and a discreet, member-led approach to luxury horsemanship.
A quieter standard of horsemanship.
Ashbury is not a riding school. It is a private estate of three hundred and twenty acres, run as a working yard for owners who care deeply about how — and by whom — their horses are kept. Visits are by appointment. Membership is by introduction.
For five decades, our team have brought the standards of a great country house to the daily work of livery, training and competition. Quiet rooms, unhurried care, exceptional people.
Our Heritage →Designed for the discerning owner.
Four principles guide every appointment, every feed, every training session. They are quietly non-negotiable.
Senior horsemen on every shift
No rotating juniors. Every yard is led by a head groom with twenty years or more in elite stables.
One horse at a time
Individual feed, turnout and exercise plans — never a one-size programme imposed on the herd.
World-class facilities
Two championship arenas, indoor school, equine spa, on-site vet and discreet member's lounge.
Private by design
Members and guests by appointment only. No public gallops, no spectators, no photography on the yard.
Three disciplines, one estate.

Three hundred and twenty acres, discreetly held.
A restored 1782 stone manor, a thirty-box Georgian courtyard yard, two championship arenas, a 60-metre indoor school, equine spa, hacking miles across our own woodland and a private gallop. All held by a single family since 1974.
Quiet mornings, considered work.
A view of the yard, the arenas and the horses in our care this season.

Ashbury treat my mare as I would. The team text me a single photograph each morning — nothing more, nothing less. It is exactly right.
Five yards in twenty years. Ashbury is the only one I have not measured against another. The standard is simply the standard.
Our daughter learned to ride here, then to compete here, and is now teaching here. Three generations on one yard.
Best understood in person.
Visits are limited to two per week and are always accompanied by the head groom and the estate director. We do not publish a tariff.
